Valerie at work
Valerie had started a freelance career and got a commission to take some product shots for a local company to display in its foyer. As they wanted 20 inch prints she borrowed a Hasselblad for the job and we rigged up a makeshift studio with some lights and a white sheet in our spare bedroom. The tripod hardly looks sturdy enough for the weight of the Hasselblad, but the pictures turned out needle-sharp and Valerie had them printed at 20 inches by a local pro lab. The company were delighted with them, and they led to other commissions. It was easier to start up in those days as the local professionals took only weddings and portraits. I had my Zorki C loaded with FP3 and took this picture by the reflected light from the product setup.
