Silver Ghost chassis
When I was working in the London design office of Rolls-Royce this old Silver Ghost was brought in for rebuilding after it had been found standing in the back of a country garage for many years after being converted to a towing truck. It's fitted with temporary mudguards for road testing. The chap at the wheel was a colleague from the experimental department who later, I believe, went on to become head of the automobile engineering faculty at a college in Hampshire. I understand that after it was rebuilt the owner tok the chassis to a coachbuilder to have a replica body built on it. These cars, incidentally, were never officially called 'Silver' Ghosts, just the Rolls-Royce Ghost. Kine Exakta with f/2 Biotar lens
