Rust in peace
I loved wandering around breakers' yards, derelict buildings, old industrial sites and so on looking for pictures, and still do, though nowadays in the south of England land prices are so high that there are very few left. This was taken in autumn in a country breakers yard near Canterbury in Kent, now part of a housing estate, sometime in the late 1950s, and the cars here date from the 1930s. Today even bits and pieces from them like the headlamps would fetch quite a tidy sum. The negative is 6x9 cm, and the only 6x9 camera I had at that time was a short-lived Voigtländer Bessa from the 1930s - short-lived because I dropped it! I don't remember what the film was, nor any details of the exposure.
