New railway bridge
With the new international railway station in Ashford came this new footbridge over the tracks to replace an old iron girder one with steps at each end which were always a trial for anyone with pushchair or pram. At the back of a drawer in my den I had found a long forgotten 120 roll of Fujicolor nine years out of date and decided to see how well it had lasted. I loaded it into a Russian plastic Lubitel 2 TLR and took it for an outing together with my four year old grandson Luke who loves going out with Grandad to look for pictures. It was his suggestion that I took a picture of the bridge so I took a reading with a hand held Leningrad 4 meter and dopped down on one knee to see it from his low viewpoint. This is quite an old photographer's dodge to get a 'wide angle' effect with enhanced perspective, and that's just what the standard 75mm lens gave.
