Mosquito 1948
This lad and I had finished ground running the engines on this Mosquito after a full service and had just cleaned up. We did a full pre-flight check and were waiting for a pilot to come along an give it an air test. I went into the crewroom to sign the engines off as airworthy and also got my camera. Yes, we did have chocks in front of the wheels for the ground running, but I took them away for the picture. The camera was my 1930 Nagel Ranca 16 on 127, and again the film was cut-down reconnaissance film. As usual I didn't keep a record of the speed and aperture, but the light doesn't look too good, and as I wanted a good depth of field I probably stopped down to f/8 or f/11 and used a fairly slow shutter speed, probably about 1/25 sec.
