Merlin engine
Time was when I knew every nut and bolt on a Rolls-Royce Merlin aero engine, but time dims the memory. I took this picture looking between the two banks of cylinders from the back of the engine in the RAF museum at Hendon, north London. The light was a mixture of daylight through big slylights and overhead fluorescents which gave the black paint a blueish tinge despite using a Metz hammerhead flash. Canon A1, Fujicolor 200
