January 10 1966 was our daughter Emma's first birthday, and Valerie made her a cake with a single candle. I had my Zorki C loaded with FP3 and took this shot at 1/25 sec at f/11 using a small bulb flashgun with a handkerchief over the bowl as a diffuser. The heat of the bulb scorched the handkerchief but I was pleased with the even spread of light which caught Emma's delighted expression of wonderment.
