Buying fish, Helsinki
When I went to Helsinki in Finland to cover an industrial exhibition I had a morning to spare so a Finnish jounalist offered to show me round the morning market at the harbour, I took my Zorki loaded with what was them the new Ilford film FP4 and we got there about 10 am. We wandered round the stalls for a while, and then I saw this small boat pull in with a woman selling fish from one of the larger boats fresh from that morning's catch. I prefocused on the woman in the boat and waited a few minutes until this housewife went down the steps to buy. I rated the FP4 at 200 ASA and took a reading from the stone steps with a Leningrad 4 meter.
